We ensure your skin is completely dirt-free by removing any debris with a gentle witch hazel solution.
We want you to be as comfortable as possible throughout the duration of your treatment at Skin Society Bar. By applying a topical numbing cream, we can guarantee that you feel as comfortable throughout your procedure as possible.
Once the skin is completely numb, your medical skincare therapist removes the numbing cream before beginning your laser fractional skin resurfacing treatment.
The desired area can be treated in one session, whether it be your face or body.
After your treatment is completed, your skin will be visibly red and slightly swollen. This is normal and indicates the treatment was performed properly.
Your skin will appear pink for 1-2 days, resembling a mild-moderate sunburn. By day 3, your skin will feel dry and flaky. It is imperative that you do not pick or peel your skin and allow the natural shedding process to take place. Any rough and dry skin will flake off between day 3-7 after your treatment, resulting in a smooth, luminous, lifted tightened appearance. Your post-treatment care is the key to optimal and long-lasting results.
To ensure you get the most of your treatment, follow the steps below:
Avoid direct sun exposure for at least 7 – 10 days after treatment.
Absolutely no tanning beds throughout the duration of your treatment series
Apply broad spectrum UVA/UVB, chemical free sunscreen with SPF 30+, daily
No vigorous exercising or strenuous activity for at least 48 hours following the treatment
Do not apply make up on the same day of treatment
Avoid use of steam baths, saunas or swimming pools at least 48 hours following the treatment
Only use post-procedure skincare products prescribed by the practitioner to soothe, calm, and protect the skin until it is fully recovered and ready for normal skincare
No harsh exfoliants, or products containing AHA/BHAs, retinoids, or acidic products with pH level less than 4.5 or greater than 7 for at least 14 days aftertreatment
There is no official “downtime” period, as you may go outside and to work immediately post-treatment, however, the skin will appear pink/red and flaky for a period of 3-7 days post-treatment.
