There are a few steps that our clients must complete in preparation for treatment. These include:
Immediately after LED Light treatment, there will be mild erythema (redness) and edema (swelling) at the treatment site, which may last up to 2 hours. The erythema may last up to 2-3 days. Treatment area will feel sunburned for up to 3 hours after treatment. Some patients note that their skin feels pleasantly warm after treatment. You will notice immediate results post-treatment. Follow the steps below to ensure the best results from your treatment:
Makeup may be used after the treatment as long as the skin is not irritated.
Avoid sun exposure to reduce the chance of hyperpigmentation (darker pigmentation).
Use sunblock (SPF 30+) at all times throughout the course of treatment.
Avoid picking or scratching the treated skin.
There are no restrictions on bathing except to treat the skin gently, as if you had sunburn, for the first 24 hours.
Maintain results with Skin Society Bar’s at-home LED Facial Mask with consistent use of 15 minutes per day.
