Medical Peel treatments, are very popular cosmetic treatment across the world. They help to treat almost all conditions and skin concerns, all while minimizing pore size, deep-cleansing the skin, and reducing signs of aging.
If it’s your first visit with us, we will begin by conducting a consultation and skin assessment to ensure we have chosen the most suitable treatment for your skin type, skin concerns, and overall goals.
We start with a deep cleanse and prep your skin as a blank canvas for the treatment.
By manually exfoliating away dead skin cells, we ensure the best possible product penetration and treatment outcome.
Next, we remove any excess impurities and bring your pH to its lowest with an all-natural degreasing solution.
A thin layer of Vaseline will be applied around eyes, nose, and lips.
After protecting your eyes and lips we apply up to four layers of the peeling solution with a fan brush onto the skin. Many clients report an “itchy’ or “warm” sensation.
We tone to bring back balance and refresh the skin.
An optional step can be applied to increase the effects of the peel.
Lastly, we apply a zinc-based sunscreen to the skin for protection. We ask our clients to continue wearing SPF after their treatment as well.
There are a few steps that our clients must complete in preparation for treatment. These include:
Depending on how deep your treatment is, recovery from chemical peel treatments may take up to three months. It takes between 1-7 days for one to heal completely from the effects of light chemical peels. Be sure to use SPF in the days following the treatment. Medium chemical peels can take around 2 weeks to heal. The skin will be swollen and red in the days following the treatment. It is entirely possible that you may experience blistering. Deep chemical peels can take up to 4 weeks to fully heal. You should also apply the recommended ointment for the first 14 days after treatment.
For all types of chemical peels it is imperative that you keep up with follow-up treatments. That way your skin can be monitored closely.
Peels can be applied on the face, chest, neck, and hands.
You will experience a stinging sensation during and after the procedure.
Depends on the severity of your acne. You may need anywhere from 4 - 8 peels.
Do not use harsh products or exfoliants for at least a week after your peel.
